Changes to my study programme

Hy guys, today I´m going to talk about if I want to make changes to my study programme in the career that I am l studying.

I am in the second year of Social Work and the truth it´s I really like the subjects that we have until now, because are very importants to the skills that we are going to need in the future, as a social workers. But if I need to make changes in the career I think it´s important to have practices because in this university we doesn´t have and in exchange we have cores that are very similar but without the part with the people. The cores are more theorical and this is important too but I think maybe we would have the both. 

In the other hand, I think we need a course that teach how to interacted with the people that we are going to visit. I think in this subject as an important one because in the daily we know a professionals that we doesn’t have empathic or a good treatment and this is a really bad situation. So for this reason I think in the present it’s important to train professionals more close to the community and worried about the treatment that we have with the people we visit.

Time travel to the past or future

 Hy guys, today I´m going to talk about if I prefer to travel to the past or to the future. Well, if at any time I have the opportunity to choose if I want to travel to the past or to the future I think I will choose to travel to the past. I prefer this option because I think memory is fragile so I would like to go to moments in my live when I say, "this was a good day". Also, I would like to go to important events in the history to check if they really happened the way they tell us they did. And finally, I would like to visit the earth when there were not as many humans as there are now, because I think the landscapes was much more spectacular than it is now. I don´t know the specific time that I would like to travel in my life, like the specific day, but would like to travel to my chilhood and watch specific moments. In the other hand, the important events that I would like to visit are, for example, the Chilean dictatorship and the previous events. Additionally, the moments that I would like to visit the earth when there where less people are, for example, after the people from Spain arrived to Chile. And finally, if I have the chance to choose, I wouldn´t like to stay in this epochs.

                                                                             

My dream job

Hi guys, today I´m going to tell them about my dream job. I would like to work with women and children in the area of Social work, but after I would like to work as a volunteer in the same career, but only a few months or years. I imagine this job very shocking and hard because I´m going to have to witness complicated situations. I will need skills like the comprehension, be a good listener, be empathic, be critique with the situation and kind with the people. On the other hand, about the salary, I don't know how much money they're making in this job, but I imagine about 600.000 and 1.000.000 pesos a month. Additionally, about the majors that I need for get this job, I need to be a social worker and I´m studying for that. But about anything else, I don´t think I need anything else in particular, but I´m thinking that I would like to take a core in feminism or something like that because sounds really interesting and I would like to know more information about this. This is because I think it´s important to know more in depth about the objects of the feminism for work with women.

The best holidays ever

I don´t know wich one of my vacations is the best. But I´m going to talk about this year´s holidays. I went to locations close to the city that I am from. The first place that we visited was Puerto Rosales beach; then termas de ralún; then Lago Todos Los Santos; then San Juan de la Costa and in this place we went to Maicolpue, Costa Bahía and Pucatrihue; then to Cochamo town and then to La Junta -a place to do trekkings near to Cochamo- and finally we went to a place far to Puerto Varas -the city that I´m from- called Pan de Azúcar. This vacations start in december of 2022 but the holidays that I´m talking about started the first days of january of this year and finished in march. Some places that we visited I went with my mom and my brother and another ones with my sister too but we spend the most of the time only with my brother. We did trekkings, ate delicious foods, traveled in barge, and many more funny plans. And finally, it´s important to say that this holidays was the best because I spent a lot of time with my brother and he live in Germany so we see each other rarely, but this vacations he traveled to Chile for visit us. And It was important to me because we are very close. 

A country you would like to visit

 I really like to visit Australia, because it´s a country that I consider it´s precious. The things that I know about Australia are it´s a country with amazing landscapes and animals like kangaroos and koalas, also the weather is warm and hot the most of the time and this is something that I really like about it. I have a lot of plans that I would do there, for example I really want to surf; see the animals; swim in the ocean, lakes and rivers; visit the towns and the big cities; go to do trekkings; go to camping; eat the tipical meals; go to partys and many more plans. When I be there, I would like to work and live in this country for a long time, because this is something that I wanted to do since many years. And I have in my plans to work as a server or chef in a restaurant and in my free time do surf and visit the country. 

an expert/person in my field that I admire

 The person in my career that I admire is Mary Richmond. The reason why is because she was the woman that formalice the profession. She made a lot of things in the career. For enumerating some of them, she change the tecnics, the contents, the system and the theory in the Social Work. And in the other hand, but not less important, she revolutionized the way that the people do the changes, converting this "helps" in a real profession, searching the causes for the poverty and inequality.

Her life starts the fourth of august at the year 1861 in U.S.A. Her parents died when she was very young and for this reason she needed to mude to other city with her aunts and grandmother. She grow up in a context with constants discussions and this situation made in her a character with own opinions and critical attitude. Her grandmother raised her in her house until twenty years old. In 1889 started to work in a Charity Organisation Society and is in this moment when she realiced that is necessary to convert this in a profession. 

My favorite food

I really like the lasagna dish and the pastas in general. The lasagna dish is a type of pasta. Normally the people do two types of lasagna, the red one and the white one, the first have tomate sauce and the second one cream. The prepation include “layers”, it could have vegetables like mushrooms, spinach, morron bell pepper, onions, garlic carrot and many others. Also the preparation have cheese, condiments and the lasagna layers that could be made of pasta or eggplant or italian pumpkin. In addition it is important to clarify that the vegetables could be in the sauces or only in the middle of the layers. I really like this meal because I think the pastas in general are delicious, but this include sauces, the cheese and the pasta all in one yummy “block”. In other subject, I think it’s not an unhealthy dish, because includes a lot of vegetables, however, also contain a big amount of cheese, but this is an optional ingredient, so I think it could be healthy but not a lot like a salad or something like that.
